- Byfield Heating have now disconnected the old gas meter and purged pipes on 15th August ready for Opus Energy to remove from site following week (free of charge). Fulcrum have excavated trench and completed the installation of upgraded gas supply. Tarmac was completed on 19th Opus Energy (via sub-contractor SMS) will install the new gas meter on 22nd August. Following this work, Byfield Heating will connect the new heating system to the gas supply and begin the testing and commissioning process.
- Paul Copley Electrical have now completed replacement LED lighting installation to the kitchen, Studio II, IT Suite, and some emergency lights on 18th This now completes the lighting phase of the project. I’m sure you will agree the difference throughout the building is quite amazing.
- Sheffield Window Centre scaffolding is now erected around the two side elevations of the building – the front elevation will be scaffolded a little nearer the date for the commencement of window installation (9th September).
- Greg Owen Roofing commenced maintenance work on the main roof area on 19th August and anticipated approximately two weeks work. The scaffolding will incorporate all necessary safety features but users are requested to exercise care when entering and leaving the building. Please note there will be no access to the lower yard for car parking during this period.
