Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and the support of Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity, Croft House now has an operational 24/7 public-use AED defibrillator mounted in a cabinet outside the main entrance.
Statistics demonstrate that quick defibrillation is needed if cardiac arrest occurs. The chance of survival is greatly increased if prompt action is taken.
The unit is registered with The Circuit, which means it is on a national database showing the locations of all such units for access to the emergency services and the public.
